The morning of March 7, 2026, painted a picture of unwavering resolve. As dawn broke over Uhuru Gardens in Langata, more than 7,000 people – families, corporate teams, cancer survivors, medical professionals and school children – gathered for the 13km and 5km routes, every step a deliberate act of defiance against a disease that steals childhoods.
The day’s “Champions of Hope” – a growing circle of former patients now in remission – took the stage alongside a community concert to celebrate the resilience of survivors and the dedication of supporters. The walk raised KES 18.96M toward childhood cancer care.
