Kenya faces a critical gap in the treatment of congenital heart disease: around 10,000 children are born with it every year, yet only about 150 (2%) receive the surgery they need.
Gertrude’s Hospital Foundation is closing that gap — improving early detection, funding life-saving surgeries, and building local surgical capacity. Our localised centre of excellence removes the need for families to seek treatment abroad, backed by an elite, multidisciplinary paediatric cardiothoracic team delivering care right here in Kenya.
