Building a Support Network for Sickle Cell Families

Managing a chronic condition like sickle cell disease can feel isolating for families. This year, our Sickle Cell Program launched a peer support group where parents can connect, share coping strategies, and support one another.

The group now meets monthly, and several families describe it as one of the most valuable parts of their care journey, a place where they no longer have to explain what they’re going through.
